Thanks plus Giving towards the upkeep of the Aughaval churches

The Westport-Dugort Union of Parishes wishes to express thanks to the following groups which have raised funds and/or donated generously in 2025 towards the emergency repairs in Holy Trinity Church, Westport, following Storm Eowyn:

Dublin Choral Union     6,627 euros
Westport Festival of Chamber Music     1,000 euros
Kathy Quinn with choir, orchestra and soloists ('Lumières')     3,600 euros
Sandford and St Philip's Choir (Fauré's Requiem)     1,521 euros

We are truly thankful, and to the many individuals who have contributed when attending concerts or services.

Giving towards the upkeep of the churches

The work and upkeep of the churches requires ongoing funding, as for every charity. (On the charity/CRA status of the Aughaval Parishes, please see below.) Running and maintenance costs are met by voluntary donations.

Parish funds are gathered from many sources beginning with the Church of Ireland families and individuals within each church/parish. Their important gifts are supplemented by the generosity of donors and supporters from outside our own worshipping community. In fact, the largest portion of our funding comes from these donors. Fundraising events and grants are also an important part of our efforts to secure funds each year.

Financial gifts towards parish funds - whether occasional gifts or regular - are therefore greatly appreciated.

For one-time/ occasional donations:

You can securely give towards these costs and the upkeep of the churches using your phone or electronic device using the QR codes (below) which will direct you to the parishes’ iDonate pages.

Regular/ongoing giving:

Regular/ongoing can also be by standing order. If you are a tax-payer, a tax refund on your donation can be made to your parish at no additional cost to you - please see below, and contact us if you would like a form.

Make your donation go even further
at no extra cost to you:
If you donated €250 or more in a calendar year to Aughaval Group and under the Government Tax Back initiative, by signing the CHY3 form , we can receive an added 45% back from revenue making your donation go much further and at no extra cost to you.
