Job done! Good news for the congregation and parishioners,
bad news for the sheep which like to wander in, given half a chance!

Holy Trinity, Inishbiggle

Thorough and necessary repairs were carried out over the winter months to the floors, underfloor and doors, of Holy Trinity Church, Inishbiggle, thanks to the meticulous work of the joiner, supported by the Rector's Church Warden and others who helped with transport back and forwards to the island.
This work is part of a bigger restoration project which has been ongoing since 2024.

Castlebar COI Parish

Christ Church Castlebar was recently awarded a Built Heritage Investment Scheme grant of 8,400 euros for the repair of the window in porch.

Holy Trinity Westport

In 2025 and early 2026, Holy Trinity Westport underwent emergency repairs
to the ceiling in a major project supported by Mayo Co Council,
following Storm Eowyn (January 2025).

And there's more...

St Thomas's Church, Knappagh, which has been closed for over 30 years but remains consecrated.

Sponsoring the work

Maintenance and repairs, restoration and conservation - these are ongoing needs and financially demanding for parishes such as ours which consist of a relatively small number of families and individual parishioners. We are therefore always grateful  for any support offered. If you or your company, business, group, choir or organisation are able to help us raise the necessary funds through sponsorship or events, to allow us to keep the churches open, and for ministry in and through these sacred places to continue, please contact us (+353 83 800 3233, and email details below). We would be grateful to talk with you.
