Even St Patrick had a Mayo flag in his hand today!
A little sadly, our after-church outdoor picnic in the garden of Philip and Kathleen, Kilmeena, had to relocate due to wind and rain, and be transformed into a ‘Picnic in the Pews’ in Holy Trinity Westport, with tea, coffee and baked treats (thanks as always to Barbara Sheppard and others).
Many thanks to Canon Alex (Killala Group of Churches. Church of Ireland) for leading the service on the mountain at 7.30am (-impressive!), and to LLLMs (/Parish Readers) Kenn and Brad (Christ Church, Castlebar) for leading prayers at the St Patrick statue. Even St Patrick had a Mayo flag in his hand today!
We were delighted to be joined, on the short walk up to the statue, by the Very Revd Richard Marsh, Dean of Killaloe and Clonfert, and to meet Ro and Claire on their way down from the summit.
Meanwhile, thanks to Alan (LLLM/Parish Reader, soon to be licensed as a Diocesan Reader), for heading to Achill to lead worship there in St Thomas's Dugort.
Go raibh mile mhaith agat, to all! +
Philip, Kathleen, Edith and Graeme
